Michelle holds a specialist pre and post-surgical MLD qualification and is a certified scar therapist — two distinct specialisms that relatively few practitioners hold together. She has worked extensively across cosmetic surgery recovery including tummy tucks, BBL, breast surgery, and arm and leg procedures, giving her a detailed understanding of what the body goes through at each stage of surgical healing.
Getting your MLD from a specialist rather than a general massage therapist isn't just preferable after surgery — it matters. Incorrect or poorly timed MLD post-surgery can impede healing. Done correctly by a qualified specialist, it reduces swelling, supports lymphatic function and significantly improves your results.
Michelle also offers therapeutic coaching before and after surgery — a safe, confidential space to explore your decision before you commit, and to process your experience, your results and your recovery afterwards.

Surgical recovery is not just physical. The decision to have surgery, the experience of going through it, and the process of adjusting to your results all carry emotional weight that deserves as much attention as your physical healing. At Lavender Health, the two are never treated separately. It is vitally important you factor budget into your post operative care and book as far in advance as possible, as soon as you have your surgery date you can book a short zoom call with Michelle and book your MLD massages in.
All hands-on treatments take place in The Lavender Room, a private garden studio in Strood, Kent. Coaching is also available on Zoom.
